oyster mushroom satay


There are many local Indonesian ingredients which are not easy to find in the US. So I might be missed so many important key tastes, but it still tastes good without them.



Ingredients

for satay
oyster mushroom (6 cups, it will shrink a lot)
red shallot (3-5 cloves, depend on the size)
garlic (4-6 cloves, depend on the size)
salt 


for sauce
peanut (3 cups)
garlic (4-6 cloves)
red shallot (3-5 cloves)
sweet soy sauce (3 tablespoon)
salt

Instruction

for satay
1. stir fry minced garlic, chopped onion, and salt until it smells good, put the oyster mushroom and salt.
2. once ready, leave it until it's less hot
3. put mushroom on the skewer and grill

for sauce
chopped the peanut, put it in the blender with salt, garlic and red shallot, add water. Optional, you can mix it with peanut butter.


mix the sauce to sweet soy sauce and put the mixture top of the satay, add fried garlic on top.


PS. Indonesian sweet soy sauce is a thick and sweet soy sauce, it's completely different than soy sauce. Amazon has ABC sweet soy sauce which pretty common to find in Indonesia.
